FREE SHOW in Tahoe Thursday night!

Thanks to our friends at the Crystal Bay Casino, we will play a FREE SHOW this Thursday 3/31 at 10 pm in the Crown Room.  This show, the finale in the “Rail Jam” series, features snowboard and ski movies on all the screens until the music starts.  Come early, check out the movies, stay for the music!  Please tell your friends….

RIP Pinetop Perkins

You were a beloved, soulful musician. You will be missed.

This was taken in 2006 at Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, Mississippi when I played with Delaney Bramlett.  I had the honor of meeting him again at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco just a year ago, when Jemimah Puddleduck opened for the Perfect Age of Rock n Roll Blues Band (with Pinetop, Hubert Sumlin, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, “Steady Rollin’ ” Bob Margolin, and other blues greats).

MK makes his first appearance in years in Portland, OR at a VERY special fundraiser for our friend Jim Bull, a fellow cancer survivor:

Jim Bull was Jerry Joseph’s sound guy for many years. He is also a friend to a lot of other Portland bands. A huge number of those musicians are banding together to raise money for Jim, as he is kicking cancer’s ass right now. Come and bring your friends!
